The title, ...snow-haze, moonlight, is taken from the first line of poem number 6 from Tomas Tranströmer's "Six Winters".

Begin in darkness, stillness, silence, space. Snow, falling. Crystalline down, a million frost-pins pricking skin – so cold they’re hot – each with a nanosecond ‘s life span. All felt, unseen, until moonlight.
