- Michele Antonello Frisch
Soprano, flute, piano
Poet Michele Frisch says that she is , "pretty sure heaven will smell like freshly-cut grass on a beautiful summer evening, and feel like the leaping, lunging catch of a baseball in center filed by a grinning nine year old." Her father, Bill Antonello played Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers. As a child, Michele played ball with her father and discovered her athletic gift and her passion for it. The no-girls-allowed policy of baseball re-directed Michelle’s talent into music where she became a professional flautist performing with orchestras in the Twin Cities of Minnesota including the Minnesota Orchestra and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. Righty, 1966 is Michele Antonello Frisch’s ode to the ball player inside her.
