Originally the last movement of Today, this spring, for women's chorus and piano, If I can stop one heart from breaking... was orchestrated and adapted for SATB chorus for the Festival 500 Symposium, which takes place annually in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada. The work reflects the infinite joyous spirit of two women who succumbed to breast cancer and their courageous example of peacefulness in the face of adversity.
