"Aspects of Glory" is a meditation on the word "glory". What is "glory?" Its an idea, an emotion, sacred and secular, an enigmatic state of being. In its Anglo-Saxon roots "Wuldor" refers to the totality of creation including mankind, inspiring Movement I of this piece. Movement II, "My Home in Glory", is an essay on the magnificence of the human spirit in adversity. Movement III celebrates Langston Hughes' "Tambourines to Glory", using the rhythms of his words " TAM-bou-rines to GLO-ry" to create exuberant, rhythmic melody to the "Glory of God!"
