Composer's Notes:
The Mephisto Rag is a ragtime fantasy grand piano showpiece. Recalling Franz Liszt's Mephisto Waltz throughout the work, the piece consists of three sections: a fantasy on Mephisto Waltz themes, a game in two sections, and a presto finale.
