Composer's Notes:
Happy Anniversary, Greg. This song is for you, the Master Gardener of the Bach Choir of Bethlehem. Greg—who knows that every note is a seed, every singer a gardener, every choir a garden, and every piece of music a glorious array of harmonious blooms. Greg—whose faith in music is the utterance of our abstract, essential human emotions. Greg—who stands in that sublime moment of silence and anticipation, just before the music begins, knowing that music transforms the mundane, domestic air of our daily lives into cathedrals of joy in the fact that we are alive. Wishing you a Happy Anniversary and a long life filled with music.
