Composer's Notes:

I Love the Lord is the sole surviving section of music from a full length liturgical drama I composed for Hennepin Avenue Methodist Church in Minneapolis many years ago. The drama itself proved too tailored to the producing capabilities of the church to last beyond its premiere production. This little anthem, however, lived. It is a quiet statement of deep piety.
