Composer's Notes:
Set: A garden wall, high enough so it takes hoisting to see over it.  Wall should be capable of rotating to view the other side.  Wall should appear to be of high quality but fallen to disrepair.  Needs a compartment to hide puppets.

Characters: Narrator (older child or adult); Dog (named by each respective performing group) (older child or adult); 5 children; as many children of varied ages and sizes as possible dressed as flowers and shrubs.

Props: A basket, a watering can, a shovel, a pruning shears, 5 pairs of gardening gloves, some flowers

Stick Puppets: Set of scary paws, feelers, vines, etc.

Costumes: Regular children's clothes for gardening; Dog costume; flower and shrub costumes; street clothing for adults.
