Composer's Notes:

Libby Larsen and Minnesota philosopher/poet Keith Gunderson have created three short parables told in humorous poems. Chameleon Wedding is a little contrapuntal piece which reinforces the message that "looks aren't  everything".  The Snail  is one long phrase setting a story of patience. And Sparrows Everywhere  uses long legato lines set against short staccato motives to tell a parable about persistence.
